The wheels that will take you everywhere
A good stroller is your daily workhorse. You’ll use it at the grocery store, the park, the zoo, airports, and everywhere in between. After pushing around more strollers than I can count, here’s my honest breakdown of the best options for 2026.
Best Overall: Uppababy Cruz V2
Price: ~$700 | Weight: 23 lbs | Age: Birth to 50 lbs
The Uppababy Cruz V2 has earned its loyal following. It’s thoughtfully designed, incredibly smooth to push, and built to last through multiple kids.
What I Love: Buttery smooth steering, huge extendable canopy (UPF 50+), massive storage basket (25 lb capacity!), reversible seat, one-piece adjustable harness, color-coded brake system.
The Downsides: Expensive, two-handed fold required, cup holder sold separately.
Rating: 5/5 – Best Overall
Best Value: Evenflo Pivot Xpand
Price: ~$350 | Weight: 26 lbs | Age: Birth to 55 lbs
Want Uppababy features at half the price? The Evenflo Pivot Xpand delivers. Plus it expands to a double stroller!
What I Love: Expandable to double stroller, reversible seat, infant mode for babies under 6 months, good storage basket, includes car seat adapters, adjustable handlebar.
The Downsides: Not as smooth to steer as premium options, bulkier when folded, heavier.
Rating: 4.5/5 – Best Value
Best Mid-Range: Mockingbird Single 2.0
Price: ~$450 | Weight: 25 lbs | Age: Birth to 50 lbs
Mockingbird disrupted the stroller market by offering premium features at a mid-range price.
What I Love: Excellent value for features included, all-wheel suspension, reversible seat, large canopy with peek-a-boo window, one-handed recline, converts to double.
The Downsides: Online-only purchasing, newer brand with less track record.
Rating: 4.5/5 – Best Mid-Range
Best Compact Fold: Baby Jogger City Mini GT2
Price: ~$400 | Weight: 22 lbs | Age: Birth to 65 lbs
If you need a stroller that folds quickly and compactly, the City Mini GT2’s famous one-hand fold is legendary.
What I Love: One-hand quick fold (game-changer), all-terrain wheels, Forever Air rubber tires (no flats!), near-flat recline for infants, lightweight for a full-featured stroller.
The Downsides: Seat doesn’t reverse, smaller storage basket, canopy could be bigger.
Rating: 4/5 – Best Compact Fold
Best for Active Parents: BOB Gear Wayfinder
Price: ~$500 | Weight: 28 lbs | Age: Birth to 75 lbs
If your weekend plans include trails, beaches, and running paths, you need a stroller that can keep up.
What I Love: Superior suspension for rough terrain, large air-filled tires, tracks straight at jogging speeds, wrist strap for running, huge canopy, 75 lb weight limit.
The Downsides: Bulky (not great for tight spaces), heavier than city strollers, air tires need occasional inflation.
Rating: 4.5/5 – Best for Active Parents
My Recommendation
For most families: The Uppababy Cruz V2 is worth the investment if you can swing it.
On a budget: The Evenflo Pivot Xpand punches way above its weight class.
Need quick fold: Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 for maximum convenience.
Active lifestyle: BOB Wayfinder for trails and running.
