Dear Madison,
• You arrived with cheeks that made your brother say, “Baby is squishy,” which might be the truest poem ever written. In two weeks, you taught us that time bends. From the first night home, your big brother welcomed you with pure excitement—no jealousy, just teamwork.
• So far you like warm milk, white noise, and naps during the most important parts of a movie. You make the tiniest squeak when you stretch. You grab my finger like you’re checking I’m still here. I am. I’m here for all of it: the night feeds, the cat‑naps, the big firsts and the quiet seconds.
• Your brother Kayden is already your biggest fan and occasional noise machine. Your mom is your safe place and our hero. The dogs are deciding whether you’re a snack thief. I’m the guy humming the same song while you drift off, pretending I don’t have tears in my eyes.
• We named this blog Dad in the Moment because moments are what we get. I promise to collect yours carefully. Welcome home.
• Love, Da
